The Sportingclass Classic goes to Mauritius!

1600 552 Sportingclass

The beginning of the year can be glum, freezing weather, dry January and limited opportunities to get out on the course.  So, what better way to bring in the new golf season than play on some of the UK’s most exclusive golf clubs playing for a prize golf holiday to the tropical island of Mauritius.

Following the success (and popularity) of the 2019 Sportingclass Classic series and final in Jamaica it was always going to be a challenge to make year two of the series bigger and better. We again return to the heathland gems of St George’s Hill (12th March) and Walton Heath (27th March) for our qualifiers. However this year guests will battle it out for a spot in this year’s prize destination… as MAURITIUS!

Not many UK courses in March can stand the test of winter weather however year-round these two qualifying venues really impress and provide an exclusive golfing experience. We will yet again be joined by partners Vedett who will again be ensuring all teams enjoy a beer or two on the way round, especially for those who’s golf is still a bit frosty…

For teams lucky enough to qualify they will be treated to return flights from British Airways to the tropical island of Mauritius, staying at Trou Aux Biches, Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa in June 2020. Situated on the north west coast of Mauritius ensures one of the best climates and will provide the perfect setting for Sportingclass Classic Final. Guests can expect white sandy beaches, crystal clear water and turquoise lagoons along with a choice of 6 restaurants to choose from at the 5 star resort.

However aside from relaxing on idyllic beaches, this is a golf tournament and finalists will be challenged by Mont Choisy Le Golf just a few minutes from the resort. Mont Choisy Le Golf truly showcases the natural beauty of the North of the island and will provide a good test for all finalists.

After a long winter, Sportingclass can’t wait to see you all back out on the course… and in the bar!
