SHACKLADY VICTORIOUS AT THE SINCLAIR INVITATIONAL

BENEFFITING THE ON COURSE FOUNDATION

David Shacklady shot a six under par final round of 66 to claim a one-shot lead and lift the trophy at the Sinclair Invitational. Fans were treated to a glorious final day as the Englishman secured a nail-biting victory ahead of Austria’s Markus Brier and Paul Streeter who finished on 10 and 9 under par respectively.

The revamped tournament, named after the founder Duncan Sinclair, had an increased prize fund of £400,000 placing the tournament in the tours top tier in terms of ranking points for the Order of Merit.

This year the event was also in benefit of the On Course Foundation with helps aid the recovery of injured and sick service personnel and veterans through nationwide golf events and employment in the golf industry. Alistair McKay Forbes, Managing Director of On Course Foundation, said “We are indebted to Corrine and Duncan Sinclair for designating On Course Foundation as the benefitting charity of this year’s Sinclair Invitational. Our association with the tournament will allow us to increase public awareness of our work and draw attention to the issues that our beneficiaries face as they recover from their life-changing injuries.”
