The third annual Sportingclass Polo Day in association with Gaucho

150 150 Sportingclass

The day was a huge success enhanced by the attendee’s enthusiasm and support. An incredible endless lunch by Mirabeau delivered by Gaucho, two high-scoring polo matches and a brilliant party that went on long into the evening were just a few of the highlights.

The winners of match one and the receivers of the Maybourne Trophy were Team Harrison Street. Led by Garrie Renucci, they completed an unbelievable comeback over Team illy in the second half.

Match two then saw Team Mirabeau edge an end-to-end game to take home the Sportingclass Trophy. Captain Arjan Badal and his side won the nailbiting clash against Team Aperol Spritz to take home the Sportingclass trophy.

Events like this would not be possible without the huge level of commitment from all of our official sponsors and partners.  Your support is instrumental in allowing us to deliver the best possible experience for our guests.

Team sponsors of Harrison Street, illy, Mirabeau and Aperol Spritz took to the field to compete for the inaugural Maybourne Trophy and Sportingclass Shield. In addition, our hospitality partners Gaucho, Mirabeau, Aperol Spritz, Pommery, FIJI Water, Double Dutch, Illy and NOAM contributed toward an amazing “endless lunch”.

Outstanding contributions from LLUK, Johnnie Walker Princes Street, Pampeano, 100 Acres and YETI provided patrons and players with unrivalled gifts and prizes, adding further enhancements to the event – not to mention their most generous donations to the raffle, including a star prize from Savile Row Travel – a five-night stay at the Intercontinental Maldives.
